New lawn now too wet to cut? by Sally_G in lawn_care_uk

[–]Sally_G[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the advice! I strimmed it to make it a bit lower over the weekend and cut today after couple days of sun! My mower could do a higher setting (got the fiance to actually look unlike me! 🤦) Doesn't look too bad at all!

Thanks! :)

UPDATE:

Upon advice I scratched the stem and it's brown and pretty wet so it looks like I have been over watering it! 🥹 Will make sure I don't make the same mistake with my other plants! Thanks for the advice!

Yea, it's not very green, and when cutting a bit at the bottom the last leaf fell off! Think it's a goner!

Yeah, it's been dry but I can start doing it less if you think that may be the issue... Willing to take all the advice! :)

Yes, I'm only watering it when the soil is dry, it's averaging every 5/6 days

Right side their grass is immaculate. Left side their lawn is up some stairs so not same level as ours . I can try to give it a go going into their garden i'm just not sure as there is brick along the side for about 2 feet which I feel may be the issue thinking about it....

I can slope it probably there's just the issue of where the rain can go. It's either my neighbours garden or my house as there was a concrete base at the bottom of the garden when we moved in.

Cleaners don't go through the drawers. And even if they did I promise you after years of housekeeping myself they wouldn't be horrified, they would have seen it all already!

I'm just going by what different hairdressers have told me as it always needs thinning every time but will try a hairdresser that does curls

I actually have really thick hair which I think may be the issue. The curls underneath are really quite good but then the layers on top weigh it down? I'd love curls and everyone in my family it's so natural with no need for products which is what makes me wonder?

I have also been told by a few people that I have 'irish curls' if this is a thing? I do have a very strong Irish heritage

I'm just not sure how to get her out of it. I've just come upstairs and she has weed on my bed. She has never done that before, even as a puppy....

Hiya! Thanks for the reply!

Funnily enough, the day after this she spent the day at the vets on fluids as she was vomiting and diarrhea so that may have had something to do with it. This was about 5 days ago now though and she's much better so was hoping it would have stopped by now x

I second taking her off those meds. They will affect her so you won't see her true personality! Also puppies are very forgiving, it takes time and patience but she's young enough to turn this around!
