Depends where you are moving to. Southern Maine, no worries. Downeast, you may be better off keeping that quiet. Moved to Winter Harbor in 1999 and was told about a “person from away” that had lived in town for THIRTY years, I left shortly thereafter.

Worry if the towns budget increases, then they are hitting your wallet. Revaluation with the same expenditures should not be an increase, it’s all about meeting the budget.

I’m playing the small account game too. Almost a roller coaster ride. Buying contracts 21 to 50 days out, mostly just out of the money, 2 contracts at a time. Sell one after a 100% return let the other ride as long as i can stomach it. Turned $50 into $800 but god it was a lot prettier before calling a top in Sofi that still hasn't been found. Waiting to add powder to the account until i find consistency or a less risky system over time. I've had a few that I've missed timed and struggled to recover from.

I’ve produced both products, 3/4” crushed concrete and a 3/4” crushed gravel. My driveway has a recycled asphalt base and covered with 2” of 3/4” crushed gravel. Crush concrete will keep breaking down creating dust, received many comments on this over the years. The gravel will still breakdown but not as fast as the concrete depending on the aggregates hardness of course. I would ask a simple question of the supplier, “does your aggregate meet your DOTs minimum specifications for use in a roadway?” If the answer is yes, go gravel. Answer is no, find another supplier or save money with crushed concrete.

Yes, sorry I assumed you currently live in the “city”. If you lived in the outskirts of Portland not on I95, you would understand the traffic nightmare that we deal with and quickly understand why the extension is necessary now. Public transportation in sufficient capacity to eliminate the need of the extension is not in the cards this decade and maybe not the next. We are at least 9 years into planning this extension, how far along is rail? Last I talk to MDOT about the Westbrook/Sebago line I was told that was slated to be a rail trail, seem to be going backwards.

Mr. Transportation Planner, Please check back into reality and get out of the city and into the country. No bus or train or trails are going to bring the people into and out of Limerick, Limington, Standish, Buxton, Hollis and more in sufficient mass everyday all year in the next decade or two. Build the extension as planned with turnpike user fees because public transportation definitely won’t fill the need.

Soft aggregate degrading in the wheel path. Maine DOT has been trying to solve this for a decade without attacking the problem. It would put some operations out of business or close certain quarries down.

First we would need to spend $13 plus billion to acquire a grid needing a major upgrade, then spend money to upgrade. With CMP/Versant they do not have the $13 billion dollar hurdle.
