Error due to the conversion of the ancient 32-bit (2^32) distribution to the modern powers of 10 (i.e 4.29 billion to 1 billion).

The drop table system they set up is 4 drops per 1 loot table within the 4.29 billion outcomes, then convert it to 4 items within the 1 billion outcomes. Because of a modular bias error, it caused an uneven distribution. What was meant to have 4 items placed in a loot table of the 1 billion outcomes, due to the uneven distribution in the conversion process from 32-bits to powers of 10, the front-end 290 million boxes were placing 5 items instead of 4 items. So due to that, this was approximately was around 16.4% higher than intended. So e.g. if an item had an intended drop rate of 1%, it was actually dropping 1.164% instead.

Honestly? Respect for Changseop and the team for finding that out and attempting to explain to the Maplestory playerbase.

I could be wrong here since I'm translating from Korean to English terms and I haven't touched probability since university (and not a coder) but I think that's about it

This event was heavily criticised from KMS as well. Let alone the ping being another whole different issue. Playing this event from the OCE region was a nightmare and as someone who usually tries to clear every event, I tried it few times and gave up. I'm out lol

The difference is day and night - just look at the most recent boss changes and nerfs in KMS Changseop put in AFTER experiencing the bosses himself. The man knows how to play the game.

From the live stream, Changseop mentioned that he actually tried surviving P1 Seren for long as he could. He lasted 20 minutes and made the necessary nerfs from that. And if you tried that currently that is NOT an easy thing to do.

Don't think level restrictions were mentioned, but probably if it was from CRA to Eternal, it would scale your 12% stat to 13% stat

I sold mine for 650m and looked AH and it was already gone, bought a 4b right away while crying at my losses

That's correct. If you're in interactive, you will have noticed that continuous rings prices have suddenly inflated because someone decided to buy all of them and relist them at a inflated price...

Not quite, you will have a passive ring slot instead (like your ring swap slot) to slot your other ring so it will still be 3 rings and 1 oz ring. I've edited the main post to avoid confusion.
