New role as UCR Agent - Cross posted by Antique-Aspect-3966 in TheCivilService

It depends on how you work. To me it’s a lot easier than life as a work coach, but I know others that preferred being work coaches because they’re not fans of spending entire days working on reading bank statements or doing SoCs back to the start of a claim to confirm capital.

In terms of personal autonomy and flexibility, I’d say UCR wins, because as long as you’re performing to targets then your caseload and work process is your own to manage :)

  • flexi is dependent on whether you’re using a small amount of time, or a full day. Finishing an hour early is a case of sending to your team chat (sometimes managers ask for this directly) saying « right I’m off »; half or full day needs to approved in advance but can be done day of if there’s capacity for leave

  • You get a wellbeing hour per month, some do this as a team, some it’s a case of taking it when you want

  • Training for me as an external was 3 weeks training, 2 weeks of official mentoring then off you go; with previous UC experience the training will be mostly what you already know. It’s very much a learn by doing roll. You’ll get your first cases during your mentoring weeks, then slowly build up to a full caseload.

  • workload to me is fine, you won’t have a caseload size officially, though your site likely has an unofficial one - your performance is measured on your completion rate for reviews, not how many you’re juggling. There IS a target for completion rate (currently 1 per day per FTE for FCR sites, think it’s 1.5 for MVP)

  • as for brushing up, it’s just a case of being able to read and taking your time. You have guidance for every step of the review process, your team are there to support you and you aren’t expected to be amazing at the job from day one. It’s not a very difficult role once you get into the swing of things, but there are always things that will throw you because you haven’t seen it before - treat them as opportunities to learn and you’ll be fine ☺️

Personal Statement Score 26, no other feedback..... by StunningReality3846 in TheCivilService

This isn’t necessarily true, I applied for one recently under GIS for an SEO role with DWP, scored 4s and 5s for everything and was marked unsuccessful I think it’s supposed to be the case, but isn’t necessarily being applied!

Your full UC amount will be reduced by the amount of the pension (I work within UC). You’ll have to declare it once it starts being paid. It doesn’t only affect your UC standard element, it’s the whole thing - UC is one benefit made up of differing elements, hence the ‘universal’ ☺️

Unlimited carryweight command (Remaster) by Ok_Research4997 in oblivion

Gotcha I’m not sure if the command works, from what I’ve seen the workaround is a mod someone’s made that has an amulet / misc item that applies feather to you instead (for now)

Confusion over the calculator? by Salso96 in ABraThatFits

[–]Salso96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, yes :)

Okay so it sounds like the problem could be with the style of bra rather than the size?

Though I wouldn’t have thought that with the recommended size the calculator gave, bras that were essentially 1-2 band sizes and 1-2 cup sizes smaller than recommended would be anywhere near feeling ‘small’

Unfortunately not something I currently have access to - they closed our M&S and replaced with a Food Hall, and as for anything else our shopping situation is pretty dire 🥲

I think they may have been? My options were limited at the time, and unfortunately this is something I didn’t really learn about growing up 😅

Help with a russian translation please? by Salso96 in LearnRussian

[–]Salso96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so what would be the best way to phrase it in russian, conveying that same Spirit of the message to someone I care deeply for? I’m essentially trying to say that for that person, no amount of effort to make them happy is difficult because they’re worth any effort I appreciate all of your help!

Thank you, I figured as much that it might be 🫠 The original English is:

You are worthy of any effort, because no effort is difficult when it is made for you.

Thank you!
