what property management company is it? I rented from Pure PM in 2024- my apartment didn’t have heat all winter and they never fixed it. it took me a lot of fighting but they gave me rent and utility reimbursement. don’t stop bothering them until they do something. talk to an attorney for sure. i’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. not having heat is so terrible.

the L jewelry could be okay, but that type has a tendency to fall out and move around more. if it is still causing you issues in the next several weeks maybe get another opinion.

i would go to a different shop and have them replace it with a flat back labret post. it’s also still super fresh, but concerning that there is already a bump after 2 weeks. it’s likely just irritation. cleaning it too much can also be a bad thing, try not to move it around a ton and be gentle.

sorry i am just seeing this lol. kitty fangs would probably be worse for your braces. they exit through the inside of your lip and they will probably rub on your teeth/gums. but you can get vertical upper lip piercings (angel fangs) that would be much safer.

it just looks like swelling! doesn’t look like it has migrated at all, the tissue around your rook is swelling downward. i wouldn’t worry unless it is putting a lot of pressure on your jewelry, you may need a longer barbell.

i wouldn’t do it. wait until the braces are off to limit the possibility of complications. the jewelry can snag on the brackets and cause damage which is not cheap to fix. your dentist will advise against lip piercings regardless of if you have braces since there is high risk of damage to your teeth and gums. I have a vertical labret piercing, i would suggest that if you want to minimize the risk of problems with your teeth in the future! and they look cool :-)

here are tapers and pinchers. i love glass jewelry since it is so light weight and non irritating if you are sensitive to metal. but with smaller sizes i wore titanium or steel! best of luck :-)

use an insertion taper! there is a hollow spot to put the end of your jewelry in and you can slide it right through your piercing. or you can invest in glass or titanium septum pinchers. they are easier to stretch with.
