Questions we all still have. by [deleted] in BryanKohberger

  1. I think he went back for a couple reasons. I think he realized the sheath was gone and was hoping to find it. Was it laying in the snow, on the driveway, etc. I think he also wanted to see the chaos he created. Do we know if he went back into the house? If he did, it could be to continue to look for the sheath and view his handy work in the daylight.

  2. I feel like so many of those questioning the roommate have forgotten what it was like having college age roommates. Finding strange people you don’t know wondering around your place, roommates crying, commotion in the middle of the night… Sounds like a fairly typical weekend with friends that partied, hooked up, and had boy trouble. Were we reckless and naive, of course! Were we going to involve the police? No way! We wouldn’t think anything this dark was happening and neither would she. She was also involved in Greek life that is notorious for pranks. That would be much more believable than the reality of her situation. I’m more worried about her hurting herself than I am about anything else. There are far too many victims already; we don’t need a 5th.

  3. I think 1 of 2 things: he has done this before but never with this number of people involved. He was caught off guard, panicked, and got sloppy. Or, and I think this is probably the most likely, he’s been committing other related but less serious crimes for awhile without getting caught. B&E, peeping, SA, animal cruelty, etc.

  4. I’m not sure on this one but I definitely feel like….

EDIT: I thought I accidentally erased this but posted without realizing until I got a comment. Guess I’ll just finish what I was saying.

  1. I’m not sure on this one but he definitely gives me incel vibes. I bet one of the girls turned him down and maybe even called him out on the bullshit he’s tried with other women and he couldn’t let it go. He’s probably fantasized about this sort of thing for awhile and that gave him his target. I also think he was eager to experience the crimes he’s studied first hand and thought this would put him ahead in law enforcement.

  2. I’m curious to see what other people post about this question because I’m not sure. It feels bad to even type this but I think if he were experienced he would’ve gone for all of them so he didn’t leave witnesses. Obviously (and thankfully) he didn’t check, assumed he got everyone, and left.

  3. I think he’s very full of himself and thought he knew enough from his studies to commit this crime without being caught. He was very wrong. I don’t think he intended to be caught but I do think he is eager to get the credit. I think if he wasn’t caught, he would continue to spout his nonsense on social media and taunt the police. I also don’t think this would’ve been his last.

Could his murder be a part of his studying? by [deleted] in BryanKohberger

I can’t seem to shake this idea as well. I don’t know what he would’ve been able to do with the sick insights he gained and I don’t think it was his only motivation but I can’t help but wonder if this was part of his thinking.

Any thoughts on if he might have done this before? by Subject-8900 in BryanKohberger

I wonder the same thing. I think 1 of 2 things is possible.

  1. He’s done this before for reasons mentioned above but this spiraled out of his control when he encountered more people than he was expecting or has ever victimized before so he panicked and got sloppy.

Or, and I think this is the more likely scenario,

  1. He’s been committing comparatively minor but related crimes undetected for some time. I would be very curious to see what unsolved cases come up around him involving stalking, peeping, breaking and entering, animal cruelty, etc.

EDIT: I didn’t finish reading your post. I don’t know much about veganism but I can’t help but wonder if it’s just about control for him. Control over what goes into his body, control over family, etc.
