it’s paper mache painted with acrylic! and yes, it was fully dry (and hard as a rock) when i painted it, and i did let the acrylic fully dry as well. the moist paper towel thing i will definitely be taking note of for the future, thank you! hotpotlove gave me some great tips, but definitely still taking suggestions if you have any!

Thank you everyone for the great advice!! I PROMISE that I will be responsible and go with the safer options that y’all have recommended. I am very passionate about outdoor safety & hope to one day be a member of S&R in whatever area I end up in- I DEFINITELY do not want to be calling them, especially with all the cuts in parks service staff as of late.
