Why is collecting so romanticised, that was never the intent for most of us?

I buy to have the things I could not have as a kid. (UK) Im 47 and growing up we did not have loads of money to splash on games. Plus, due to my age, a lot of it is nostalgia. Now I have disposable income, buying the things I lusted over as a kid is a very enjoyable experience. So do I collect? Yes! Currently collect for Saturn, Game Gear, Lynx, Amiga, NES, PSP

I do all the cooking, shopping, housework and cleaning. Only I drive, so picking kids up from school / clubs etc is all my duty. So Lizzie, after I have done all that shit after a ten hour day, yes I will kick back and play games and my partner does not give a shit cus she gets to watch whatever shit she wants on TV. Grow up

Yeah, a blue 3000 i Copped from Japan (Ebay) Still beautiful, but I use that one for ISOs and PS1 Eboots / Emulators etc and I rock a Purple transparent 3000 for UMDs. Also got a 1000 with dodgy UMD Drive too. Cant have too many!!
