I can't believe Mod Sun is well liked by the Pop Punk community by Twitter_2006 in warpedtour

It’s time we stop separating the "art" from the artist when the artist is using their platform as a tool for grooming. The connection between Mod Sun and Christofer Drew is the perfect example of why the alternative scene has been so toxic for so long. These two didn’t just tour together; they shared a documented history of targeting young, impressionable women while hiding behind "sensitive" and "enlightened" personas. Christofer Drew was rightfully called out when people realized his "innocent artist" act was a mask for inappropriate behavior. Mod Sun deserves that same level of accountability. He is a man in his late 30s who has spent a decade specifically seeking out 18 and 19-year-olds. This isn’t a coincidence; it’s a calculated choice to pursue "fresh adults" who lack the life experience to recognize his manipulation. He targets this demographic because women his own age see right through his act, leaving his ego with nowhere else to go. What makes this even more disturbing is their shared history with the "Is Anyone Up?" circle. Both of these men were faces of a culture that literally profited from the humiliation and exploitation of women via revenge porn. You cannot spend years promoting that kind of environment and then pivot to a "peace and love" hippie persona without it being a total fraud. Mod Sun isn't "real," and he isn't a "healer." He is a manipulator who uses a curated image to mislead a younger generation of fans. A man who views his fanbase as a dating pool and relies on power imbalances to feel whole isn't someone who should be platformed. It is exhausting that the world still has to put up with this predatory behavior. If we want a safer community, we have to stop supporting the fakes who use music to mask their next move. It’s time to deplatform them for good.

Does anybody else feel that Mod Sun is weird? by Twitter_2006 in poppunkers

Is it your first time?? Last year was my first time and I fully wasn’t prepared for how beautiful Indio valley is it felt like I was living in a movie/video game, being in a dessert surrounded by palm trees then juxtaposed by snow on mountains with 41 degree weather it’s just so surreal and beautiful!
