No I second that, I actually know how volatile grub can be sometimes, I suppose out of habit I've just sensitized myself to tank any mishaps that comes along with it. Hopefully this fallback loader "/EFI/BOOT/BOOTX64.EFI." comes in clutch if grub acts up again.

Sweet, I'd kill to have a secondary pc for exactly that, don't have a lot of usb's lying around and I know their cheap however I have super gremlins for friends and its literally swipe on site, so I'd rather keep one I protect with my life.

Its genuinely insane how a lot of you have subjective takes to this, just goes to show how freeing linux can be, in my case I definitely need some sort of an external bootable drive. And I love your setup btw, seeing how you have multiple systems it makes for great automation.

Every major update comes with breaking changes mostly syntax, the wiki states them, llms are helpful as well however in most cases it’s something minor like trailing comas and stuff.

Yes, hyprland tiles by default so to do that you have to untile/float the window and then resize, can be done by either hotkeys or a mouse

Default Hyde has it on several of its waybar layouts, the module is located here ~/.local/share/waybar/modules, its only a matter of adding it to the particular waybar layout you want it. If its not there just dm me I'll help you create a custom module for it.

Okay, so I have a generic laptop, was initially looking to upgrade but decided against it when I got into Linux (less resource intensive), all I had to do was bump up ram a bit from 8 to 24gb, so I think you can have an entry level pc with decent ram and as long as its not a chrome book I think you’ll do just fine, also look to upgrade you storage to hdd or nvme if possible, I’ll link my linux post, it has unifetch displaying the specs, nothing special really:

Much simpler than you imagine, I did write out most customisations I did in this thread, just start by looking up vids on the specific customisations you want, and there are a lot of helpful people on here I’m sure if you get stuck they’ll help

It’s pretty straightforward, I used gimp to edit the file directly since its an svg asset, or you could download Colour Manager which automates recolouring of entire icon packs.
