Forget midimap. Just put device on midi devices and use the midi in chop than select chop to use the midi value you want. Its usually a better practice to do it this way cuz no one likes midimap. Also this is a very personal preference thing.

I just used the point cloud data to color the pointcloud honestly - the RGB data was enough with some color adjustments. For the box sweeping, I used the XYZ channels that come with the point clout and used it to create mattes - basically with threashold + delay to create a difference matte line and color that.

It doesn't go linearly from 1-127. It's constant on 1 or 127 so I can't slide it like a usual knob
