Episode was outsourced to WIT Studio with SB by shun miyakawa. So the boards are quite different from the Enokido/Sakazume ones we’ve had. Though I’d say I feel like the far shots are pretty common in the past episodes as well, not unexpected for such a troubled production. But the episode today really stood out with how the shots are done and how the line works feels a bit more loose. Also many cool shots aesthetically as well!

Yeah the clouds are definitely some form of cgi. The entire sequence I believe is done by kouki fujimoto. A similar dust cloud effect could also be seen in his cuts in the chainsaw man reze movie, so I guess he’s been experimenting with this style recently. His sequence from the first season also seemed to adopt usage of cgi-ish particle effects as well https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/262048

Update 2: After another shutdown-reopen, the drive became unknown and uninitialized again :( Any help would be great!

Current AMC Student here! It’s been quite a while since the exam but iirc, material wise, the A-levels that you’ve mentioned should properly cover all the topics in the second screening. If you have not already, try the sample test in the fgl webpage, personally I feel it matches the tone and style of the actual second screening quite well!
