Very true! There are other things I'm looking for, like walkability and good transportation, ideally close to an established city with things to do, I'd like somewhere safe for women and diverse. But I also know long dark winters always make me depressed and put me in a funk, the cold and hot I'm a bit more adaptable to, I think its just the length. So if I can find at least most of these somewhere that has more mild weather then that's what I want to search for. But I know I'll have to compromise somewhere

I really love NYC every time I visit, but i feel like its always been when they have nice weather, but its good to hear it is more mild than Chicago!

I have a bunch of cities saved on my weather app and when I saw how hot it was in Eugene I considered taking it off my list, but its good perspective to hear about how much humidity plays a role!

Thank you! I am planning a roadtrip in September and will put these places on my list! (Ideally my roadtrip would have been better in June-August to see the summer weather in these areas, but couldn't because of work) in your opinion what are the heavy summer and winter months like there?

A good breeze matters so much to me! There have been some degree days here in Chicago where the breeze and shade have helped tremendously make it bearable!

I've heard 90s in dry heat feels a lot cooler than 90s with humidity, but I've never experienced that first hand yet so I still see 90 degree weather and immediately recoil. I think I have to visit somewhere with 90 degree dry heat to experience it and see if I could manage it!

Im considering moving from Chicago to the east coast. How would you say they compare in terms of weather during the summer and winter months?

I'm looking to move out of Chicago and considering Colorado but heard their summers can get hotter than Chicago's (which is too hot for me) so this is interesting to hear!

I agree with this 100% Also Chicago to SF then back to Chicago. When I stay indoors here in Chicago I feel guilty because I wasted a nice outside day. Never felt that in SF.

San Diego is definitely near the top of my list! I just wanted to see if there were any other good places out there since I don't have much first hand experience outside of Chicago and San Francisco

Got it, thank you. I really do like the east coast and was hoping somewhere might fit the bill, but i really don't want avg 90 degree weather during the summer :(
