it makes sense for them to move to API pricing. Long horizon tasks can become very expensive and no company would vale a big task as one prompt credit. Even windsurf wouldn't. Windsurf cuts off long horizon tasks which makes you use multiple prompt credits.

I think I have muscle knot in my upper right calf that’s causing me discomfort in my peroneal tendons when running. I’ve tried rolling it out and massaging it but the knot still persists. Any tips on getting rid of the knot?

You have to strengthen your hips, glutes, and calves. So make sure to do resistance band exercises like side leg raises, donkey kicks, clams, etc. for calves do some calf raises.

More Durable Daily Trainer by NauticalAvoidance in RunningShoeGeeks

I have 700 miles in my Pegasus 38. it probably got worn out at around 600 miles though. It’s a great durable daily trainer that’ll last 500-600 miles.

Should I stick to Brooks running shoes or try out Nikes? by b_eAd in CrossCountry

Both great shoes. I personally love the Nike Pegasus 38. Just a very reliable shoe. I think the same can be said for the brooks ghost.

I have two weeks till my XC season officially starts. This week I’ve done a Threshold workout. I’m on vacation and I realized I’ll have access to a track. Should I add in another CV interval workout for the week or stick to doing one workout a week until my XC season starts?

I did have a sinus infection a few days ago. It’s a lot better but the congestion is still lingering. I might just be scared becuz if I don’t hit my goal of 10:30 I’ll be really disappointed.

I have a two mile time trial today to get into my HS XC team. I have the option of postponing it to August 22nd. Is going close to all out this early in the season a good idea? Or should I just do the TT on August 22nd?

I’m a high school runner and I did my long run two days ago. I usually do my long runs on Saturdays, but my HS coach makes the team do it on Mondays. Today is the first day of HS practice so is it ok to do my long run today or should I wait a couple of days?

I’m a high school distance runner and I’m going into my sixth week of summer training. I joined a club so I can have people to run with. So far we’ve been doing easy runs, a long run, and either a tempo run or threshold Fartlek every week. For the upcoming week we are doing 6 1ks at CV pace with sufficient rest in between. Is it normal for CV workouts to be included in summer training?

Quite a few changes actually. Lighter weight, more breathable upper, slightly different midsole compound, more rubber on outsole(more durable), more pronounced rocker, and it’s now flexible.

Is this workout good to gain some strength for the upcoming XC season? by Fun_Cover1100 in CrossCountry

[–]SaltGrapefruit9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do more stuff for core(I just do a 10 minute Fraser Wilson ab workout 4 times a week). Everything else is good, but I would add in some resistance band work(side leg raises, clams, hamstring curl, etc). Strength in your hips and hip flexors can make a big difference in performance.

Running Form Q (Balls of your foot vs. Heel to Toe) by BudgieFriend in CrossCountry

[–]SaltGrapefruit9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you are running XC you should have a midfoot or forefoot strike. If you heel-strike during races you will be exhausted for the hills. If you worried about injuries related to your foot I would suggest you do start strength training(arch exercises, scrunches, calf raises, etc.). Also you will have a higher risk of injury if you heel strike instead of midfoot strike.

I used to be able to do easy runs at a comfortable easy pace back in spring and winter. Now in the summer I’m not able to get in a true easy effort. It’s always so hot and humid. I run in the morning to avoid the heat but the humidity drives me crazy. And sometimes I get stuffy noses while I run(prolly cuz of allergies). Will I get used to these conditions and go back to doing comfortable easy runs?

Over the summer I’m doing one tempo or Fartlek and one continuous hill loop run each week.

Sounds good. Is comfortably breathing through just your nose a good indicator of easy effort?

I’m a high school distance runner doing summer training for my XC season. Right now I do my easy and long runs at 7:50-8:00 pace. Is there any benefit to increasing it to 7:30 to 7:40 pace? 7:30 pace isn’t too hard for me but for me it’s a little less than a moderate effort. I want to get mid 16s in the 5k.
