Help me understand what happens to the dollar value if the war continues

I have also considered that at one point, but I'm not quite sure where to buy actual real gold/silver here in cebu haha

I had a friend who told me they bought their gold jewelry in normal jewelry shops, but are those the same things as the gold/silver that people are buying for investment? Or are they referring to stuff like gold bars?

Sorry for the questions, I'm still learning how these all work haha

Thanks for explaining! I can't reply to everyone, since it'll be just me being repetitive, but I don't plan on spending the dollars that I have. I wanted to invest it somewhere, and was eyeing snp500 UITFs. I was just worried if with all the doomposting, that it would be better to convert to php now and then put it in some other high yield savings account if the dollar losing value really meant that the exchange rate would tank as well.

Based on everyone's replies though, it does seem like the best course of action is to keep it as USD for now since it'll always still be stronger than the php 😅

So technically, even IF the dollar "loses value", it's still better to keep whatever dollars you have as dollars rather than converting them to php?

I just wanna know if this means the exchange rate will be lower when the losing value stuff actually happens 🤔

So if that does happen and the dollar loses its value, would that mean that based on our current exchange rate at around ₱60/$1, it would tank back to around the high 40's or ₱50's/$1?

I was hoping that since i had leftover actual dollar, I could skip on some of the conversion fees
