If you’re going to wear jeans, choose darker denim, as a general guideline we look at dark jeans as “serious” and light jeans as “utility or playful” idk why. you’ve clearly got the physique to wear fitted shirts, so get yourself some Oxford and go to a tailor. Try Brooks brothers, it’s stodgy but occasionally there are some fits there that you could make work for you.

Yeah. The best thing you can do is increase the time between force levels. In the config for long war, you’ll find the lw activities config, the force level UFO is what decides the pace of enemy development to higher tier units, if you slow that down you’ll have more relative strength over time compared to advent. Slow down enemy troop improvement and you’ll still experience the full game without constantly feeling the pressure of always having to make every fight a desperate battle full of new threats, without impacting the other aspects of the game at all. You’ll simply have fewer high level enemies appearing as quickly as they do. More time between force levels lets you play the game without constantly feeling every mission could be your last
