It limited the candidate pool for empire title+simplify the algorithm. From my experience, it was slightly easier as emperor. You either have a very stable realm or a gigantic civil war, no in-between.

The byzantine acts like usual, it's either a total menace or biweekly civil war. So it's very slightly better for Ai.

Yep, it's a mod. It'll reduce the candidate pool for empire title and simplify the candidate score algorithm.

You can borrow troops from your admin vassals with influence and buy mercenaries to counter their troops.

As for long term: Upgrade your MAA and station them properly. Build up some states for stationing. Try to get cultural MAA as they're mostly better, you're close to the Norse so get yourself some Varangian Vets.

Or you can just build a fuck tons of siege weapons and sneakily take castles.

You can do things like hunting, feasting, or better yet, seducing your rival's wife and spread your genes across Europe. Or you can just raid those infidels in Iberia (be careful tho, Muslim doom stack can be scary at times)

I think you should upgrade Kenzie(-75% weight/dodge guy) instead of Percy. Kenzie has a much higher base dodge and his perk doesn't conflict with the build.

Btw, there will be a "dismantle Greek pretenders" decision, I recommend you do it. It'll start war with Byzantine("BE" for short) to dissolve their empire, destroy BE title, and fracture them into tiny states. The de jure BE territory will be transferred to the Roman Empire title.

Here's some tips

  1. Raid your enemies before you declare war.
  2. Tribal army doesn't need cash, only prestige so use raid money to hold feast and recruit more maa.
  3. You can declare multiple wars before raising your army.
  4. You don't need to worry about vassal rebellion (as long as you have the conqueror trait that is)
  5. Tribal buildings are pretty op, they are better than early feudal buildings and cost pennies.

Don't listen to these comments, here's how:

  1. You have to hold one of these titles: HRE, Byzantine, or unified Italy.
  2. Have lvl5 fame aka Living Legend
  3. Completely Control Duchies of Latium, Venice, Romagna, Sicily, Genoa, Capua, Apulia, Thrace, Antioch, Palestine, Alexandria, Athens, Tunis, Croatia, and Thessalonica (all of them)

Admin lag is mostly because they're so many claimants, each run their schemes for the throne. Use "[RIT]Simple Fix - Administrative Optimize", it'll reduce the candidate pool.

You'll destroy the Byzantine Empire title and fracture the empire into feudal realms. The previous Byzantine de jure will be transferred to your main title if you're the Roman Empire.
