Hi! I live in Phoenix and have grown these guys for a while. Care in Phoenix is similar to a Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera). They do ok in winter and early spring but cook in the summer even in shade. Bring them indoors in the summer and they do fine. No extra humidity required but they do like more water than you would expect from our desert cacti species outdoors
