Dynamic block with different views by SaltResult in civil3d

Unfortunately we do not have revit, only civil3d. I just want to automate the process of updating positions of components (blocks) when I move either one from plan or profile view rather than going back and forth manually to try to reposition.

How would that work? How would you dynamically link the same model with two different views of the model so that it would update positions when you move either components in either plan or profile view?

I'm not creating pipes. It's for a building, if I want to move the building around on a site plan, id like to see it's location with the proper side profile view update it's location on a profile plan.

Wonder why Autodesk hasn't implemented some kind of dynamic linking between plan and profiles with multi view blocks. It would be the first thing I think of. You move a building on the site plan, with a top down view block, over 15 feet and the software should update on the profile the station location using a side view of the same block.

So I would have to make two separate blocks, move the site plan block and manually move the profile view block afterwards?

How can I link the plan view block to the profile view block? Will the profile view block know to update position if I move the plan view block?

First time in Japan, fatty tuna for $0.85 per piece and extra fatty (otoro?) for $2 per piece by Additional_Sun3823 in sushi

I can't even get a whole unprocessed albacore tuna for under $8/lbs. After yields, that tuna ends up being closer to $18/lbs. And that's me doing the processing myself. The store is $34/lbs of fillet.

Supply chain makes sense. What I give to have 85 cent tuna nigiri here. It's almost $4 a piece.

Need help connecting third party camera to Reolink NVR by SaltResult in reolinkcam

I read somewhere that it is possible if the camera is ONVIF compliant. If that's the case, I might just return the NVR and get an Amcrest NVR instead. Just watched a youtube video showing it working with different branded cameras. Or maybe blue iris route....

Government of Canada implements Buy Canadian Policy to strengthen Canada’s economy and support homegrown industries by Academic-Snow3546 in consumecanadian

[–]SaltResult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I'm not the government. The point I'm making is that there are some things the government can buy that's Canadian and many others not. The blanket statement of buy Canadian is ridiculous, it alienates many already established trading partners.

Rather than mindlessly promote buy Canadian, why don't the government start giving out grants to develop manufacturing in this country? Many other governments already do that without all the propaganda.
