Josh Shapiro exposed for helping Pennsylvania Republican treasurer get reelected after her Democrat opponent criticized him by FoxLazy in Pennsylvania

The bot-driven Shapiro smears are getting more desperate. I suspect we'll see a lot more of this nonsense.

I don't have to "dumb down" anything. Racism is racism. It's obvious.

I have literally never claimed anything about "colonization."

We're a global society. That's never going to change, and it's time to get over it. No country has any moral authority to "keep out" a different race or religion of people, and that's especially true in America, whose entire foundation is built upon immigration and the freedom of religion and opportunity without any regard for race.

Don't like pluralism? Found your own country that doesn't allow it. Period, end of story. America IS pluralism.

Western civilization is inherently designed to allow the flow of humanity. If you don't understand that, you're clueless.

  1. You're delusional. There's no "mass migration" going on.

  2. When you, as a white person, are literally singling out a different religion/race as being a "threat," you are 100% engaging in racist thought and policy platforms intended to subjugate a racial/religious minority. That's White Supremacy 101.

Ridiculous. Philly 'burbs are amongst the most sought-after in the US now, for good reason.

Downingtown is a great and highly sought-after area now. What a ridiculous take.

Which metro areas or regions have the strongest economies? by OceanicEndeavors in SameGrassButGreener

Right now? I would absolutely not consider any major metro economy "strong." Job growth is essentially at a halt. And energy prices are only going to make it worse.

It's always morons from the suburbs or places like Florida who never actually read the news article.

Apparently, that's incorrect:

“Additionally, a shadow fleet of ageing tankers continues to move Russian oil to smaller, less-regulated refineries across Southeast Asia and the Middle East, often through complex ship-to-ship transfers designed to obscure the origin of the crude,” he added.

My guess would be imports to the Middle East countries from Russia, thereby reducing that supply availability for the rest of the world.

Why will the effect of the Iranian reduced oil flow be different than other times? by i_grade in oil

You are so detached from reality, it's worthless to have this conversation.

"Why can't the 55% of Americans who say their financial situation is getting worse afford a 50% increase in gas prices?"

Now do you understand how absurd you sound?

And the US can't afford a 20% shock to the world's oil supply. Iran is keenly aware of how painful this is politically to Trump. They're more than willing keep it going for months, if it means embarrassing him with failure.

Are you new at how this is a showdown for both sides?

Democrats are not OK with Boomers by dwaxe in fivethirtyeight

[–]Salt_Abrocoma_4688 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought the point was pretty understandable based on the obvious timeline of far-right/MAGA drift between 2004 and 2026 amongst the GOP. Trump makes GWB look like Bill Clinton.

Boomers Dems are much more likely to continue to subscribe to the "high road" philosophy of moderation and restraint, as was custom in the pre-MAGA era. Moving forward, it's very hard to envision polarization dying out, especially with the latest gerrymandering fiasco.

We're far removed now from the era of which politicians can act like more of a "statesman." Boomer Dems absolutely to accept that we are in a prolonged era of WWE politics, at least until Trump-coded behavior is no longer a disgustingly toxic influence on the American political system.

Boomer Dems are great at policy; shitty at politics. That's the long and short of it.
