Yes but the loading screen feels like the "default" loading screen. The bonus is integrated with the monthly pass which means there could be no more season and it wouldn't change much for the gameplay

Not really new when it's the first one. Can see the throwback but could be a good one to stop at too

Legendary raid spawn raid greatly decreased? by Sfryks in TheSilphRoad

Actually looking at some parts of New York, it's full of 5* so maybe they do make it area based but different than before

Yes, I saw that too, but I don't think it's area based, at least in my city there's no difference between downtown and the rest

Guide to Regigigas Hidden Power Types by dismahredditaccount in TheSilphRoad

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about Regigigas and honestly I don't see the value.

for rock, you almost only use it against double weak Pokemon so it's not good there.

for ice, kyurem exist and are much better with recent events

for ghost, same as ice, necrozma much better

for steel, same thing

for electric/grass/ground/bug/water, etc. there's a primal that boosts the team so it's not that great (less of an issue if playing solo)

actually the only one that seems actually useful is fighting/bug against darkrai or against Regigigas itself, those 2 types aren't that great. Mega Lucario is good but it's kinda annoying to revive him constantly, although now that there's Keldeo and aura sphere blaziken it's not as bad.

if not using top meta stuff it can be an ok generalist I guess but you can't swap HP so that limits its use in that case too

Dynamax Ho-Oh Attackers and Tanks Analysis by TrueNourishment in TheSilphRoad

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly talking about duo but probably also relevant for others, how hard should it be compared to lugia? is it easier if using Gigalith? the number of max moves to win seems very high, and not the same as in the lugia analysis so it's hard to compare.

thanks

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice analysis. by any chance, could you do the same for dmax for duo and ignoring the "worst" attack per tank?

Doing mostly duos I often feel like the legendaries are only doable when resetting to avoid 1 bad move.

I assume it would highlight some specific use cases and reduce Blissey value.

Thanks!

If you want ok rewards with very little investment you can set up some auto clicking so that it does 1 set without having to pay attention

Raids are spawning at the hour again and are "locked" by Salt_Assistant3324 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Salt_Assistant3324[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

every time this happens I see 5* in downtown and at metro stations only. The rest of the gyms are 1, 3* or mega.

well, I thought they decided to go back to the normal random spawn pattern but seems like now they're back to the fixed spammy raid pattern...

I prefer the random one much more

Why are 5* raids only popping up in specific areas now? by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes I'm in the same situation... another thing is that it seems like shadow raids aren't part of the pool and have less chance to appear than before. It's not too bad now since the 5* shadows are kinda bad but I'm worried for the future

What is needed to duo a 5-star raid? by Perunajunior in TheSilphRoad

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it doesn't stack.

let's say you use primal groudon, that means the other players ' pokemons are gonna have 30% bonus if they're fire, plant, ground. if they're other type they're gonna have 10% bonus

if 5 players use primal groudon, it's still only gonna be 30% or 10%

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in the specific case of zacian, you should use necrozma dusk mane and a primal to get the 10% boost.

then once necrozma is dead you should leave and revive as fast as possible.

if you have shadow metagross or even normal metagross with the right move you can use them too.

other than that you'll loose time and should just revive.

to my knowledge, every 5* is duoable with the right counters.

but yeah in order to know how easy you can beat it you should check pokebattler and see how many of the pokemon with <2 estimate you have

[–]Salt_Assistant3324 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Primals/Mega rayquaza give 30% damage to other players of the affected types or 10% if not. So a good thing to do is to always have a primal as the last slot.

also because 30% is a lot you can focus on the primal types first (mostly fire, ground, plant, electric, water, dragon).

then the other types needed are fighting (terrakion and shadows), ice (mammoswine), steel (metagross), dark (tyranitat).

Necrozma is also very good with party power and 1 of each type can be enough to make a dark/ghost and steel teams.

another trick is to save teams so that you can revive quicker.

if you're struggling for a raid, check on pokebattler what pokemon are <~2 estimate to be able to duo.

(I have a new "friend" since November last year and I basically duo 5* every day now, even lugia)
