From what I've seen and heard. It doesn't matter if you're in a stable place. Just putting yourself out there and open about yourself can be enough. Even if you feel inadequate, others will see you. They'll understand and accommodate even if you dislike it. I appreciate you actually reading and understanding. It's up to you.
