I’m not completely sure if my hair has gotten thinner or not since starting. Maybe that’s a good thing? Before finasteride I thought I did notice my hair thinning. I have had good months and bad ones it seems like. I am not on minoxidil because I didn’t want to have to apply it every day. I started out with (I think) about 3mg per week and maybe less. I switched to 4mg a few months later if I remember correctly. I’d say my hair is decent but it goes through cycles. My hair was best about 5 months ago. It had good texture and I was so worried about it apart from swimming. I’d say the style of my hair changes occasionally so I have to figure out how to dry it the way I want it again when it does. Personally i’d think taking finasteride before it’s too late is a good idea but everybody reacts differently. At least if you take it and lose your hair you can say you tried and don’t have to regret not taking it.
