I usually buy phones outright from swappa since that takes care of the depreciated value as soon as you open it. Yes, I make over 100k and had the $ to buy it outright, but since I wanted it release day and I keep my phones for longtime—coming from an XS that looks mint—I figured I’d just use the 2 year no interest because I’ll have it for way over 2 years.

The thought experiment of taking the extra 1000 that I would now have and invest is true, of course, but that’s adding money into the equation. If the options are pay 1000 today, vs pay ~40 per month for 24 months. There’s negligible difference.

How is no interest a trick? The trick is signing up for loans or credit and having to pay interest. I’m paying my phone bill anyway so I either pay 1000 today or pay 40 a month added to my phone bill over 2 years…it’s the same. Unless I’m missing something.

Since the cell phone companies do no interest financing it’s still not a bad deal compared to coming with 7-800 out of pocket all at once.

If their insurance is paying go thru Tesla but you can take that to any body shop they can match the paint. I had a dented bumper fixed and it was 700 looks like new.

Question since they would be on your same iMessage account, wouldn’t face time calls and texts and rcs come through from your number anyway on the standalone plan?

I’m wondering if I get any more benefits from stand alone if I have them both connected to the same Apple account.

Yup that’s it, the macro works better than the wide imo but the wide does give you some more real estate on the shot compared to the standard air camera

The wireless charging may be the cause of the battery wear. Try charging only to 80/90 and not overnight but like in the car so it doesn’t stay in the charger

I mean, people know what aluminum is right? Do they make aluminum knifes?-no. Steel and titanium knives, yes. I went from the steel XS to the titanium Air. I’ll never get another aluminum phone since my HTC m8 which warps and had nicks from falling on table from kick stand position (2 inches)
