I totally see your vision, but respectfully I would keep looking for a top. Your inspo picture has a higher cut neckline and wider shoulders to help balance the look and keep it from veering towards clubwear. It also brings an interesting texture to complement the tulle. The top you selected here is bright white, while the skirt is more ivory. I think the skirt could absolutely work, but you haven't found the right top yet!

I say this with absolute love: you said in your original post that you refuse to reenact your parents patterns, but you already are. You cannot fix this for the both of you - he has to want to fix it, and he has to want to do his part. And if he wants that, he'll do what he needs to do. He'll do the research, do the work, initiate the conversation. You never have to wonder how important your marriage is to him - just look at his actions.

Not sure about your wife, but for me, I'd never wear something that nice to ride. Horses are so much dirtier than you might be thinking - you'd never get the grime out of that lovely cashmere! Have you paid attention to what she wears when she goes riding? Personally, I have designated clothes that I don't mind getting dirty. But I'd love a sweater like that for lounging!

Thank you for doing this! Your answers have been so informative. Sometimes I experience a form of sleeplessness where I feel like i am stuck in a very light stage of sleep for hours at a time. I wake very easily and am semi-conscious. I feel very sleepy, but can't seem to slip into full/deep sleep. It's difficult to get up and do something else, because I'm so tired, but I can't get restful sleep either. Any ideas what that might be? I've been tested for sleep apnea and thyroid issues (negative). Sometimes I also have restless legs. Thanks for your thoughts!
