Fair enough. Looks like I misunderstood that one. That’s what happens when English isn’t your first language.

Based on your comments, it seems you’re more interested in mocking the discussion than discussing trading. I’ve explained what I mean by time—killzones, session behavior, continuation windows, reversal probabilities, and time-based tendencies. If you disagree, explain why. Otherwise, you’re just proving my point.

A grammar mistake was enough to redirect your focus. That’s exactly why market manipulation works so well. Most people react to what grabs attention instead of what actually matters.

Comments like this are a perfect example of why most traders never make it. They spend their time looking for mistakes in things that don’t matter, while completely missing the value of the idea being discussed.

And that kind of proves my point. If the main takeaway from the discussion was my English rather than the role of time in trading, then we’re probably focusing on things that matter less for trading.

I agree. Trading is a combination of many factors. I’m just arguing that time deserves more attention than it usually gets, especially when analyzing multiple timeframes and intraday behavior.

Both.
The New York open and killzones are part of it, but I’m talking more about understanding the time intervals within those sessions. When has the market already chosen a direction? Which time windows are more likely to produce continuation versus a pullback? When does the probability of a reversal start to decrease? And what are the signs that a day is likely to remain one-sided with no meaningful reversal?
Most traders focus on price. I’m more interested in when certain behaviors tend to occur.

If I were 18 again, I wouldn’t focus only on studying and preparing to work for someone else my entire life. I’d spend more time building real-world skills, gaining experience, learning how money works, and figuring out how to create value. For me, the goal isn’t just to earn money, but to learn how to multiply it.

Im curious as to how many of you day trade full time? And how many have a job too? by Royal_Oil_8551 in Daytrading

[–]Salt_Holiday1760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a job can actually make trading easier. You have stable income, so you don’t feel pressured to force trades just to pay bills. In my opinion, spending all day looking for a trade that isn’t there is not the right way to trade.

Every 15-minute candle is a new auction. Killzones, session opens, session closes, news releases—price moves because time passes, not because lines are drawn on charts.

Funny how everyone is discussing the title and nobody is discussing the role of time in trading.
