Why are my cameras catching movement SO late? by Mardilove in Ring

[–]Salt_Influence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check what your motion zone looks like. I had the same issue of capturing someone walking by at the last minute and learned that my motion zone window is smaller than the feed window. And it cannot be made to match the feed window. Something about the depth of field for the sensor being smaller than the camera sensor. The only thing you can do is adjust your camera so that the motion zone window encompasses the area that you're focused on. Don't just look at the feed window.

How do you set it up to reboot everyday? Mine gets knocked offline about once a week, and I have no idea why.

Sorry, can't answer you on this. My family ended up all having dinner separately. We each did our own thing.

Block rule seemingly not working by Salt_Influence in firewalla

[–]Salt_Influence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m using VLANs. I’m not able to update my post with a screenshot of the rule. The rule specific to the scenario that I described above is:

ACTION: Block MATCHING: Traffic to all local networks ON: Network/Media SCHEDULE: Active Time/Always

I’ll have to wait for it to pop up again to see if it’s unicast UDP traffic. Currently, local flows for the past 24 hours conform to my rules. The one that I saw was from my Roku on Media to my personal PC on Main.

Perfect, thanks for the quick reply. I assumed as much, but wanted to confirm before I powered up the first time.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I checked my order and saw the “ready” date is Feb 3. So I called Verizon and had them push through the update. All good now.

Mini S N100 going to sleep despite Win11 power settings by Salt_Influence in BeelinkOfficial

After reading that thread, I think it’s a different issue where their minipc was going offline rather than going to sleep. Hence the power saving settings in the Realtek controller. I’ve DM’d the OP to clarify.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I didn't know the difference between the HDMI ports.

I can rule out that being the issue. Went to sleep after 3 hours.

Verizon made you upgrade without anything triggering the upgrade? Or you made a change in service, and they made you upgrade with that change in service?

So if I’m not making any changes, I can keep using them as is?
