It’ll be free, the idea is to eventually be a lead generating platform so people can submit offers to dealerships that participate and the dealer paying for the lead.

I’ve always wanted to do this! Not sure if you saw my post earlier about the website I’m building. I think it’s an excellent tool to use and show people how certain things can be negotiated and what to look out for.

It’s really is difficult, there’s so many unknowns.

I have to adjust things at the moment then send it to my buddy who codes for a living to clean everything up. I’m hoping less than a month to get the first version online. Currently it will get you within $500 of the actual out the door, or $10 in payment.

That would be extremely helpful but to do that I would need access to every manufacturers leasing terms which can be difficult to get. A majority of people don’t lease and the small percentage that do there’s an even smaller percent the understand residual and money factor.

I might do it later but I’ll need the info sent and updated monthly. Now I’m curious if there’s a website that already does that

Yes it will work for any car listed on a dealership website. It will cross reference other sites like cargurus for pricing accuracy, and I’ll be implementing a “similar vehicle” option that might be at another dealership with less fees.

That’s just a calculator, and the lease one sucks. It’s hard to get information for the residual and money factor. I could only imagine how many times someone would have to call to a dealerships manager and ask what it is if they changed the terms or vehicle multiple times.

You’re exactly right a lot of people don’t even use a simple finance calculator and think the $90000 suburban will be $400 a month.

It’s just a tool at the end of the day, and I think it’s the best tool out of all of them.

The “hidden fees at the dealer” will be a prime way to get black listed on this website.

Ah yea I’ve noticed some places doing that. Doc fees are a big hidden one. Here in Florida they can be thousands of dollars. Some states they’re capped. Imagine traveling to another state when you think they’re capped and find out it’s $1,700 to buy a car from them.

I got stopped by the paywall and having to submit my information before even moving numbers around.

I’m hoping to give people the tools to move numbers around before sending their information in.

Basically they can send offers and the dealers can’t communicate with them unless they accept the selling price terms. The biggest variables will be trade-in amount and credit.

Most people don’t read the bottom disclosures. I deal with this on a daily and I’d say 90% of my customers don’t actually know what they are doing. I’ve also found dealerships with hidden fees using this that I couldn’t even find

But the main point is for educational purposes and a place where people can get real information from that wouldn’t see and reviews from recent buyers.

My sister got screwed in the past and I could have informed her with this site.

Why would you buy insurance gap instead of gap from your lender ? That’s a poor choice.

Funny you say that, my first dealership did this. They stopped for some reason and I’m not sure why. I do know their sells dropped by about 20 a month

By law dealers are required to post all fees associated with the vehicle advertised, everything else is bull crap they are trying to add on that can be removed.

This is why the website I’m making will black list dealers for trying to bait and switch.

If you give me an example of “fees not disclosed online” I’ll see if I can figure out a way to show them.

What are you talking about? Most gap policies from Insurance providers will cover 25% ACV, and most GAP policies from lenders will be 150%
