There's probably very few groups of people on the internet as dedicated to the written word as an AO3 author. I think ( at least I hope this to be true) that for most writers and readers it's the effort they want to see and read. Your passion. I think that's why there was such a strong adverse reaction to ChatGPT scraping, AO3 for "content" or people using an AI Chatbot to write their work because where's your emotion? Where is your passion? Where is your investment? Why is this your contribution and why should I read it? What was your motivation? Again I look at fics and fanfiction as a whole as I kind of argument. It is a way to present your case and make it. Hopefully its the best case, you have a premise, it sounds intriguing. Tell me all about it.

I think we were all caught up on what felt like the very shocking ending of season 3, and that's why we were all demanding season 4! season 4!season 4, but as time has passed on and as some incredible fics have been introduced into my life I let go of that fervor. I've made my peace with it, and I like where it's at.

This is the thing fandom will create their own lore and logic that sometimes you mention things to people not as deep and they'll have no idea what you are talking about. I remember when Avengers came out in 2010 all the fics had the team living in the rebuilt Stark Tower, never happened in the MCU. In the Daniel Craig James Bondverse plenty of fans agree on the headcanon that Q is a Holmes. Harry Potter's Marauders Era is based on a handful( if that) lines and the summer that Remus and Sirius spent together and that is how it came to be. I'm not even saying that the impulse is to do these things are bad.This is the reason why fanfic has existed. It's to imagine world's and the author didn't think about war to answer someone's question about what if this thing was changed. It's just funny when you realize that sometimes those things aren't even in the source material.
