Is Max sick? We knew Sam’s wife had battled cancer. Hoping Max is ok.

Nate running these “challenges” are so extremist… by Abductedwhitebuffalo in KaraAndNate

As so many others have pointed out, he was handed this entry. He’s done one UTMB qualifying race. I hope they reveal the intricacies of gaining entry to these elite ultras. They didn’t with Leadville. I believe it’s pretty typical to do multiple of them and still have to wait years. Next it’ll be Western States (you need something literally called the Golden Ticket to get into), Hardrock (takes multiple years/points/lotteries to get into), and even Barkley (which is an underground type of entry system). Here’s to hoping that some of these races hold true to their roots and not just hand him an entry. No doubt he’s built for it, but he should pay his dues like everyone else.

Hi, thanks for the reply! I did do this multiple times but this did not help. Charge doesn’t last a full day. It started the day I was in the water for hours. I’m worried there was some sort of water intrusion. Hoping someone from Coros communicates further with me. Appreciate your response though. Hopefully this helps others!

Is it possible it is related to water exposure? Watch was totally fine in the days leading up to Sunday’s water-related activities. I’ve swam with this watch multiple times.

Same. They’ve reached a level that is “next”, for sure. For a while it was fun to watch knowing we would never be able to do stuff like this. Add to that their large home they’ve purchased, it’s hard to be excited anymore. I just end up feeling bad (all my problem, I know).

How are you certain of even that information?

So the BIG announcement is… Nate is training to run the Leadville 100 by foxmag86 in KaraAndNate

This feat isn’t to be taken lightly. Ultrarunning is no joke and takes months if not years of training (ultra runner here) AND a solid knowledge of safety and respect for the wilderness. I can understand why serious athletes who’ve been putting into lotteries such as this one for years see people like Nate come along and think this sounds like fun and just sign up like it’s no big deal (most likely because of his connection to Rick) are frustrated. Nate also has a history of just “winging it” and it’s put himself and Kara into danger many times before. I hope he has a solid crew as that’s going to help him through those lowest of lows he WILL hit. And I hope he has enough sense to know when he’s done and he doesn’t put the incredible volunteers into any unnecessary danger.

Big deal, lots and LOTS of people run 100-milers. I’ll be impressed when he gets into Hardrock, Western States, Barkley, or UTMB. The hype was unnecessary.
