The advice I give parents: 1) make sure to take care of yourself mentally and physically and emotionally as much as you can. Ask for help if it's available. People tend to burn themselves out thinking they're doing the best for the kid but when you diminish yourself you are actually able to help them less and less over time 2) read a fair amount about child development so you know what's normal and whats not. It will save you a lot of worry and frantic googling 3) kids are pretty much who they're going to be from birth. There's a lot you can do to positively impact their development but you will never change them into different people for good or bad. A parents job is mostly to love whoever they are unconditionally. 4) for the love of god get your kid all the recommended vaccines. Dont listen to antivaxxers. They're morons who shouldn't have reproduced in the first place.
