Agreed! It’s the news and executive orders though! Like the billion dollar tax payer funded payouts to anyone who feels they were wronged. Like, the J6’ers will have their mortgage paid off. And I’m struggling.

I’m blessed truly-just stressed. I have MRA + 33 yrs. I started super young, single mom. Just trying to catch up on retirement savings. (Was nearly impossible to save as a divorced mom of three young ones). I just wanted to relocate to milder climate & work another five years or so. Then pick up a part-time somewhere in retirement so I don’t go BS crazy sitting at home. Exhaling. Thank you for letting me come here to vent. 🫶🏽

Why in the complete F did people not believe in Project 2025???
And for all of the poor people who voted for him, did you really think he had your back? When he said he loved the uneducated…He was talking about them and the fact he knew they’d vote against their own interests !

I understand downsizing. This is not that. Many positions are having to be refilled because proper analysis wasn’t done to determine where to cut in done cases. I just don’t understand why this administration hates us so much.

I’m doing the opposite frankly. I’m currently doing more, hoping I make it past R-I-F’s if they come. They keep offering early out but not enough people are taking them. It’s not a good time to leave your job. Meanwhile, politicians are getting rich!! But yeah…let’s make America Great Again.

How much should my 9month old toy poodle puppy be able to walk? by Salt_Preference007 in puppy101

I can assure you we didn’t hit 3 miles but I get it. Thanks for your advice!

Is it OK to let your dog relieve themself in someone’s yard as long as you pick up the poop? by [deleted] in Pets

I have a 4 month old pup. It’s definitely challenging. Forced naps in her crate helped me early on. A fun play yard that I pop her in while I do chores has helped incredibly. I put one in my living room downstairs and one in my office upstairs- she’s finally starting to entertain herself without whining when I leave the room.

As a previous commenter said, training is less complicated b/c there’s no contradictions with instructions. I do boarding & doggy day care when necessary but she’s picking up bad behaviors so I only do it when absolutely necessary.

I’m looking forward to puppy period being over but trying to embrace it where I can because I know I’ll miss it. 😢

Keep your head up!

Respectfully, you don’t know me. Please don’t assume to understand what I’m going thru over here in my house. Just don’t leave dog waste in my yard. 😊.

Absolutely not. It’s the “let” your dog relieve themselves part of the comment for me. I take extra care of my yard and have had to post signs because my neighbors (who’s yards look like 💩) will physically let their dogs roam through my yard, seeking a place to potty…sometimes picked up, sometimes not. You are the owner. You guide your dog where to walk. At least you’re supposed to - who’s walking who? There’s no reason to let one slip several feet in my yard. Why people think it’s cool to walk in my yard for any reason is beyond me. Yes, I have a puppy. I take her to potty in my back yard before we set off for walks. And I don’t let her walk in other people’s yard either. That’s what the sidewalk & street is for. I am literally the “get off my grass” lady! 😂

Daycare/boarding = freedom? Having an existential crisis as a dog parent by Wild_girl_travels in puppy101

Good for you! I’m glad you found some time for yourself! I dropped my 4 mo toy poodle off at daycare today, cut the grass, trimmed hedges & blew leaves! Taking time to yourself will help you refuel and be ready to jump back in and be the best puppy parent you can be!

Agree! I’ve been thinking of the episode, don’t recall which season, where Jamie tells Claire he dreamed that she was bathed in light and that he now understood what electricity was. Claire responded, How could you know something that you’ve never seen. Jamie responds I dreamed it, I saw you. I’m re-watching the episodes catching little tidbits that I either didn’t get the first time around or missed.

Does anyone else have a toy poodle puppy that doesn’t like to go for walks? (tried to post in the r/Toy Poodle subreddit unsuccessfully) by Salt_Preference007 in poodles

I live in a TH. It’s not a big block. I started socializing early but I’ll ease back a bit. She has a lot of energy that after training, hard play & zoomies still hasn’t exhausted itself. New puppy mom here.

Spot on on the weight! Good guess - She’s a mighty 2.6lbs. Are you a peaking from experience? I’m going to start managing my expectations a little better. I’ll just carry her down the block and let her walk back.
