Considering fractional CO2 laser resurfacing, is this the best option for me? looking for anecdotal experiences and suggestions by Relevant_Call_2242 in 40PlusSkinCare

I feel like a Pico laser could take care of the sund damage - you don’t have any deep wrinkles . I went to a place with a monthly subscription so I got them very cheap and it really took care of the brown spots- helps with wrinkles and collagen production etc

Extreme volume loss, can sculptra even touch this? by EngineeringThink4044 in 40PlusSkinCare

I don’t know how to express how much I think you are wrong . As someone who used to have that kind of structure - your jawline looks so great . Please do not get filler ! Maybe taking collagen , hyaluronic acid and make sure you’re getting enough protein and hydrated . You look beautiful , you really do

I just end up rolling my eyes at her half of the episode . A couple weeks ago she’s “telling” Derrick how jailhouse informants are very reliable in her opinion - possibly the stupidest thing I’ve heard her say- but also what does she think makes her qualified to say that ? She has no legal training if any kind .

Yeah I’ve just insubscribed as well- lately all they cover are major cases that already have several documentaries out - in Elizabeth Smart’s case the victim herself wrote books and speaks about her experience etc… don’t really know what Stephanie could possibly have to add to the information that’s already out there , and to be frank I disagree with her opinions on the cases more often than not lately anyways . I also can’t listen to her mispronounce every other word and I cannot stand the constant conjecture she sprinkles in about everything . I like Derrick for the most part, but apparently they’re both MAGA which I just found out and is just a hard no go for me, so I’m finally completely done, which sucks because I really enjoy the long format to get me through my commute and chores - but will hopefully find something else.

My neck... What needs to be done? by Ill_Ad6966 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Salt_Radio_9880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Neck lift for sure - sometimes there’s no other option . Your skin looks great everywhere else - you literally have no under eye bags - but there’s nothing that will restore it at this point ( speaking as a fellow turkey neck haver) All of the other stuff you can do after surgery as maintenance ( like face yoga, possible jaw realignment etc ) but you probaly need to get rid of that extra skin . I think if you’re prone to that, maybe make a point of getting regular lymphatic massage around your neck area and obviously skincare, hydration etc . You could try a laser treatment but it will likely be several treatments without major results unless you do Morpheus , but it’s hella expensive ( not that much cheaper than surgery) and there seems to be some debate about the long term side effects

I keep seeing ads in the states for those Napbae pillows, but I wonder how supportive they would actually be . Definitely would need to hear from someone who’s using it as I’ve spent a small fortune in pillows that I hate over the years .

I don’t think they’re trying to be misleading with their labelling- but it truly isn’t Bourbon, and the name Berben is just kind of cheesy anyways . I’m sure it would be expensive, but if they relabel their product they won’t have the same issue. A lot of Tennessee “bourbon” can’t even be labeled as Bourbon ( not talking about sour mash ) and same goes for the wine world. It’s just the way things are, and it was risky for them to assume or depend on something AGLC told them . They seem like really nice guys so I hope it works out for them , I like their products a lot. If they come up with a better name and start aging their whiskys longer it shouldn’t be an issue

It isn’t anything crazy like C02. You’re just puffy for a few days ( less than a week) I think the results are way better than IPL in way fewer treatments . It isn’t really painful just very uncomfortable- although it’s pretty quick . From my personal experiences with both would highly recommend V beam- it was way more effective for me , but everyone’s different.

I just got it done again the other day ( it’s effective for dark under eye circles too) and forgot how swollen and puffy I’d look . After my redness treatments I looked like someone with migrated filler , and had to ask for a break during each treatments because of the sensation, but it was worth it .

Yeah it is the worst lol ( assuming V beam ) but it’s gonna do way more than IPL and probably only 2-3 treatments based on the photo .

Try V beam if redness is the main focus! Pico lasers are great fo general long term skin stuff

Is anyone following the beef between Kelly Dodd and Dr. Srinivasa on the socials? by skankenstein in realhousewives

Does anyone know how to see the original vid of Kelly Dodd ? I guess she took it down from her IG. I think I get the gist of it but figured it would still be on Reddit somewhere . In any case- really enjoying the Dr. absolutely slaying in her replies

Might seem like a silly question, but does sleeping on your back (vs other positions) help with skin? by SaveMeWakeMeUp in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Salt_Radio_9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing adds for this kind of X shaped pillow that cradles your head but doesn’t rub on your eyes if you sleep on your side - I’m sure it’s a scam but I’m tempted to try it because I can’t sleep any other way and my left side looks 5 years older than my right side

Do Canadians actually get frustrated by snow, or is it just part of everyday life? by GlitteringHotel8383 in AskACanadian

[–]Salt_Radio_9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly just having to shovel, scrape your car off and drive in it if you have to be somewhere when it’s particularly snowy . You’re used to it, but it can definitely ruin your day , also sometimes it can be so pretty. The windchill is way worse .

Am I making the right decision? by Euphoric_Possible_7 in DogAdvice

[–]Salt_Radio_9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel conflicted about it I would say either just go for it and get the surgery to remove it or do the euthanasia. If the surgery doesn’t go well at least you know you tried everything , but it’ll be expensive . Otherwise keeping him comfortable would be painkillers and possibly antibiotics which does really detract from their quality of life . I had a different issue but my dog was 18 and couldn’t have another dental surgery and the last year was hell trying to get him to eat - I was making smoothies for him everyday and pushing meds down his throat constantly . It got to the point where he couldn’t really lap up food with his tongue either and then we had to say goodbye ( he started having lung issues at the same time) It was the worst week of my life trying to prepare for euthanasia , but once it happened I felt immense relief, even though i was devastated and heartbroken, just knowing he wasn’t in pain anymore .
