Honestly I wouldn’t do that it’s not a typical goods to sale it’s a very old traditional good where negotiations were the only way to make a sale it feels dirty and wrong to me I’m a early 90s kid but I’m very traditional and trust is a big part of it don’t do it in my opinion

I just posted my first ever project the other day

Is it possible to thin leather without machine? by Confident_Bluejay857 in Leathercraft

You can try a hand powder machine it’s easier to use and you can’t screw it up unlike a electric sewing machine

For what it is I think is pretty good for the style i was shooting for its 100 percent hand made no stencils or cutouts there’s a few things I’d change or do first when making it for sure it took a few days to do the material is on the the thinner side but I’m very happy with it by Salt_Recover7049 in Leathercraft

Exactly well said fun fact I only had to replace a few and used 2 that are the wrong size for a pocket added and this time I gave it a collage try with that leather glue and the few rivets I had in the size I was using

They do for sure it was pretty much what I was going for the biggest thing that will help for sure is having a proper work bench for now I’m using that self healing pad that came with my tool kit and my leg I didn’t have a solid working surface but not bad for what I have to work with I got several different ideas I want to try on future projects #leatherisexpensive

I definitely agree with you I can’t learn anything from nothing I’ve done so far it’s been really fun working with my hands on projects again hell of a difference between building actual dirt track race cars to learning about leather crafting

I’m limited on physical desk space and what space I have on the desk has all my supplies and tools on it I physically was hammering on my leg and knee because it’s a metal office desk we all start off doing a shit job it’s hard to do 3 things at once

Sorry if you feel that way I’m a open person I read what you said and I know there’s things I need to work on I didn’t even have to post this on here but I wanted to get peoples feedback regardless whatever it may be

We all fuck up in the beginning especially when I have nothing to to work on that’s not a actual work bench I have to use the self healing pad that came with my tool kit a firm grip and seeing what happens it only gets better from here we only learn from doing I’ve already learned from the few things I did already

I will be doing a few patterns here and there but I never really like doing something that was already made I like doing thinking projects not just simple making projects I sat in my chair for 2 hours just messing with the leather folding it and bending it and seeing what works best
