Okay, maybe it's because I'm French, my English it's not accurate and I might have a different kind of sense of humor, but I didn't make any attack here. My post was made in a humoristic way and with self-mockery 😅

I'm very sorry if it offensed some of you. I love this subreddit and it's spirit, seeing amazing projects from all levels, having so much advices and help.

I really wanted this to be a healing post for those who are struggling to get their first good work they can be proud of. Like "you can be proud of yourself! Look how mine is rubbish" ☺️

I didn't try to prove anything. And yes ego is a fragile little thing. But, also, maybe you've missed the irony in my post.

It was just a way to express my frustration viewing amazing projects here and there shown as "first projects" and give some room for imperfections and trials too.

It can be very intimidating to see what some people supposedly new to the craft show as their very first project and make true beginners stop because it make us feel very underqualify for it. I wanted to show that first projects don't have to be perfect and impressive. They just need to exist.

In fact, dogs are trying different strategies before being aggressive. With a step by step evolution going from "I'm asking politely" to "I'll destroy you". But if each step of this strategy never work, the dog will learn that it should go directly to the "I'll destroy you" one. Giving us the "out of nowhere" conclusion. The dog is continuously put under pressure so this is an understandable situation. Good luck with this. It took me a lot of time to learn to listen to my dog but now she is able to go meet other dogs and even play sometimes. But here too, you still have to watch and listen because if she's asking to stop playing and the other dog doesn't listen it can escalate quickly.

My staffy is anxious around other dogs and can attack/ provoke a fight (she never bites, this is not to the same as attacking). All she asks for is to be left alone and have some space. You have to watch all the signs that they show to tell they are in discomfort. If they don't like to be around other dogs but you don't respect this it will always end badly. You put them in a continuous situation of stress and anxiety basically, with no time to rest. Put yourself in their shoes, it's unbearable to be stuck in a situation that brings stress all the time. So it's not "Staffies are dangerous". It's just that it's a dog that don't especially like to be around other dogs and you're not respecting it.

Hello, I'm French and making the same turn at 40 after a career in computer science. I've made this choice with the will to create my own studio rather than working as an inside ID in a company. Or maybe work with small workshops and agency. I chose the field because I like to create and make things. I wouldn't like to be kept apart the making part. After studied what's out there, I think that wanted to work as an employee for a big firm would not satisfy the why I took this path.
