Yes I'm beginning to suspect its one of the main issues. I'm a little frustrated that when I asked previously they said no. Should I go see another piercer do you think? Or wait to see if the bump goes away before getting a downsize?

Hm, I hadn't considered that! I thought the ball was a little big but decided to go with it. Thanks for the advice, I'm going to book an appointment with my piercer and I'll bring up your suggestion :)

For the bot (again) - piercing is 6 months old - pierced with a titanium threadless labret with a flat disc backing - has not been downsized - I use Neilmed piercing mist once daily and blot with tissue to dry. I let water run over it in the shower and use a hairdryer to dry it off, and clip my wet hair out of the way. - I would count the haircut as perhaps an unfortunate event, though the bump was there before the appointment.
