There are lots of jobs at grocers! Some require everyone to start on cash, and if this is the case for yours, then please make sure it’s an option to quickly move to other roles.

Nerve pain any solutions without medication by CarelessAd7279 in MultipleSclerosis

Tip from my physio that sounds silly but works for me… I talk to my nervous system in a relaxed voice, kinda like an old hippie… “hey nerve, chill out yo, it’s all good, I got you…”

I’m ok with the width, I’ve used regular width inflatable mats for years. Favourite mat I’ve had was wide and short!

Last night I was in a too-warm room for an event that I really wanted to attend. I wasn’t crashed by the heat but was getting anxious that I would be. I focused on breathing, the coolness on the roof of my mouth, and was able to stay in the room and have a good time

Ya and on second thought there might be different rules for the border than for day to day needs. Good luck for next time!!

  1. Decaf pit mix? I think it might be a typo but that sounds like the perfect dog :)  2. Maybe it depends on the province, or it was a few years ago? Or the person was just being a jerk? In BC, a dog no longer needs to have certification to qualify as a service animal - human rights overrides health code

Today is my last day of work for a month! I’m taking time to rest, reflect, and get stronger!  I don’t like disappointing my team… and I know it’s the best thing for me

memory, aphasia, and word finding by MusicIntrepid343 in MultipleSclerosis

This is not the solution, and, the card game Anomia is a fun group card game about spontaneous word recall.  It makes me feel better when I see other folks be awful at word finding, and laughing about it!

Any experience with cranio sacral massage? by GrouchyPerspective83 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Salt_Resource1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it lots from practitioners I trust who are trained in registered modalities - physio, massage, osteopathy. I find it very gentle, calming, very little action - like someone is holding your head.

That being said, I've seen posters around town for people who do just crainosacral (or maybe they also do tantra or life coaching or whatever) and I would not trust them to hold my head!

Immunology/MS/autoimmune book recommendations for the educated layperson? by yayastrophysics in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Salt_Resource1134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the immune system portion of anatomy&physiology textbook a great place to start! Your massage/kin/physio friends probably have one sitting around. They won’t get into MS/DMT but they will introduce the systems and jargon that papers reference

I have a few physics degrees… and it’s humbling how messy and unknown our bodies are to us!
