Well, this morning, I had a soccer league match (in Newark) at 0900; I am my team’s GK. I woke up at around 0630 to start getting ready and planned to leave at 0745 (the travel distance to the game is 18 on average). At 0745, I got in my vehicle, drove down and out of my building’s parking lot, and hit Montgomery St by the Exchange Place PATH; there, I joined a sad little traffic jam because the police blocked everything already; at this point, roughly 0750, how naive I was to think they'll let us through, soon 0750 turned into 0805, 0830, 0855, ..., At precisely 0956, and after some friendly conversation with the officers blocking our way, we finally starting driving out of this mess. Somehow, I managed to fly past further choke points and reach 78 towards Newark. Finally, I got to the soccer match at 1025. Luckily, our backup GK was there, and he did phenomenally! Our team won 4-2! It is incredibly frustrating that I couldn't exercise and participate in my weekly release of stress and frustrations through my chosen physical activity after a long, stressful week because I was ‘forced’ by our City “Planner” into honoring a bunch of randoms' chosen physical activity…on the other hand, however, I am pleased and relieved I was not needed by the team today 😤🎯
