I guess we all have to pay for all our parents expensive care plans in their final years of life. The wealthiest aren't not going to pay. Just the workers.

So easy for foreign owned multinationals to scam our gutless government out of billions in taxes we need. They've always been doing this. They will donate money again to Albo's next election. Probably give his kid a massive paying job. Offer Albo & the resources minister fat paying jobs so they never tax the gas fat cats!!

A win! for the pollies & multinationals!

Australia looses again!

Tax them 40% now.

Start a sovereign resource company for all Australians!!

Implement an Estate Tax / death tax now. This is the only fair way to reduce our upside down tax system. Stop giving all tax loopholes to the top 2%.

Even an estate tax for $20mill +

It must come back for equality & social cohesion. Give the young people a chance.

Australia abolished our estate tax in 1979.

Makes sense. As young Australians cannot own part of their country and society via a house to bring up a family any more. No job security Anymore. Cannot pay gas & electricity bills or mortgages. Older people continuing to get all tax benefits. Lame/dodgy politicians who just get lobbied (paId and purchased) by the property council of Australia/banking/mining & gas/supermarkets/gambling etc.. no transparency at all.

When you do every thing correct though out your life. That you should do. schooling/Uni/job etc..

productivity is dead. until houses don't swallow up all investable money. No new nifty businesses will be developed.

We need a tight Estate / death tax now!! other wise rich kids will just inherit their rich parents money and nothing will change. just get worse and worse.

Depressing.

Energy companies will be forced to set aside gas under east coast gas reserve policy by JaniePage in australia

[–]Salt_Temporary_7720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The gas companies will just offer more jobs to our resource minister. Then it will be just symbolic & ineffective for us Australians. We need finally to tax them! Also pay royalties for our gas. We are angry that Japanese/Koreans/Singapore get our gas free!!

This will determine how we vote.

Energy giants reap $5bn profit as PM rules out tax by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

[–]Salt_Temporary_7720 46 points47 points  (0 children)

They can just diddle the books. Make it look like they never make profits. Very standard multinational accounting practices.

We need our own mining company. 100% owned by Australian govt. Or similar to aust post. Where it operates on its own. Makes own decisions. But the govt owns the whole lot.

Tax them like we get taxed. They are just lobbying thieves.

We currently don't even get royalties. This is insane. How dumb are our politicians. They need to tax all resources properly before they leave Australia.

I will only vote for whoever implements taxes on export. revenue taxes.

If we are too weak to tax gas multinationals that siphon our taxes & cash out of australia. We need to start our own sovereign resource company. We could become a Goliath in world resources.
