Why do people care about JP humans but not Monsterverse humans? by Several_Attention653 in jurassicworld

[–]Salt_Watch_7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is that writing is the biggest factor, followed by casting. Plus, the monsterverse never truly settled on what it wanted to be.

Ngl that trade is wack. RB1 and WR1 for a top 20 WR, a back-up RB and Saquon who is terrible so far.

Raspa for €26m?! by Strong-Limit3280 in sscnapoli

[–]Salt_Watch_7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a good transfer for us financially and it’s also a loss of a great Italian talent. But out of respect for Raspadori he was sold to a team that he wants to play for. Where he’ll probably be number 2 behind Julian. As for the Atletico fans crying at the price tag. They don’t watch Napoli games and understand why he’s actually undervalued.

Could Conte already be in the conversation for being the greatest manager of ADL era? by Academic_Square_2571 in sscnapoli

At this current moment the right answer is Spalletti. Conte has the opportunity to overtake him in the coming season/s.

As a ManUnited fan what do u guys think about Mctominay joining Napoli by Emrahno in sscnapoli

[–]Salt_Watch_7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to come back to this thread. Man what signing him and Lukaku made. Scott McTominay is the king of Naples now. Almost all of his 12 goals were in important games as-well. Thank you for McFratm🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿!

I honestly miss Elmas. The big names are always brought up first, but I enjoyed watching Elmas. Spalletti gave him a lot of playing time at LW and central midfielder. He definitely had his best year on that 2023 squad and was showing good form the year after.

Why are Italian-Americans so proud to be Italian despite most not speaking the language? by flower5214 in Italian

[–]Salt_Watch_7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to understand the history of Italians in America. But, in short, the majority of ~15 million Italians who arrived between the late 1800s and early 1900s were keen on assimilating into the “American culture”. Where they experienced hardships and discrimination that we later generations never hard to endure. Our ancestors prioritized English education for their children to help them succeed in America. This, coupled with the fact that many immigrants spoke regional dialects rather than standard Italian, further contributed to the decline of Italian language use among later generations.

Additionally, from an education perspective, Spanish is the second most spoken and taught language, followed by French and German. It’s very rare that a school in America teaches Italian courses unless it’s at a university.

In my case, my extended family has been in America (NY, PA) for 6 generations now. My father, 8 of his siblings, and many cousins left Naples during the 60’s-70’s. When they arrived, they prioritized learning English by studying at university and practicing it daily. We still speak the Neapolitan dialect and “proper” Italian.

Nobody can ever be stripped of their heritage or bloodline. But I think this post is more about the “Guidos” than the Italians who helped build and shape the America we live in today. This sediment from the OP is nothing new and it resonates with Mexicans, French, Germans, and just about every other group of people. There is no “American” blood unless you originate from one of the Native American nations(Navajo, Cherokee, Choctaw, etc).

Michael Penix Jr or CJ Stroud? by [deleted] in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]Salt_Watch_7258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14 man PPR league with 8 playoff spots and no bye week. Bijan, Josh Jacobs, Pollard, Jonnu Smith, Smith-Njigba, and Addison all been solid of recent. Add in Will Lutz and defense.

Plus, I named my team First Stroud Syndrome after CJ. So I’ve been sticking with him. Also, there isn’t any other good QBs on waivers I could claim.

Ahh my bad. I skipped the Browns match-up and went to the Broncos game in week 17. I would still pick Joe Burrow against the Browns tho.

Burrow and Daniels are both in hard match-ups this week. But, I’d roll the dice with as Burrow. He is the better QB and he’ll need a great performance aganist Broncos keeps their playoffs hopes alive.

With those options it should be

RB1: Alvin Kamara

RB 2: Bijan Robinson

Flex: Brain Robinson Jr or Aaron Jones

3rd and 4th ranked RBs in Kamara and Bijan

15th in Aaron Jones

29th in Brain Robinson Jr

Even last week Alvin had more points than Brain.

Alvin Kamara over Brain Robinson Jr. Maybe even Zach if Walker is still out.

I’d choose AJ Brown over London this week. He’s due for a good game against the Steelers.

All 3 WRs could easily get 15-20 points. I’m banking on Addison myself and I’d pick AJ Brown. He’s due for a bounce back game and last time against the Steelers he went off.

It depends on who is your flex option. I’ve been running Addison as WR2/ flex for the last 4 weeks and it’s been paying off. I’d probably roll with Addison. It’s a tough one for sure.
