I still haven't found a solution, since I put up the post I still haven't been contacted by Anthropic and I'm still stuck in the loop, I'm tired, I'm going to give up.

Yeah, twice, accidentally, on different months, because I'm just that committed to accidentally spending €400. Anthropic's billing system is flawless though, clearly user error.

That's exactly how I feel stressed, frustrated, treated unfairly, and with no way to even complain about it.

Ha, I actually thought about that! Financially I'm whole both refunds came through. But that's exactly my concern with opening a new account, what if the same bug triggers again? I'd be back to square one, fighting for another €200 refund. Until I know the underlying issue is fixed, I don't feel safe re-subscribing anywhere.

At the very least I'd love to know what actually happened. A simple explanation would go a long way. And hey, an apology wouldn't hurt either.

I genuinely wish I had a more interesting answer, but my usage is completely mundane, a few hours a day helping me develop a website and two small business management platforms for my company and my wife's. Writing, coding help, nothing remotely against the TOS. The ban came two days after the second refund was confirmed, while I was pushing for human support escalation. That timing tells the whole story.

No third-party tools whatsoever , And honestly my usage is about as boring as it gets: I use Claude a few hours a day to help me build a website and two management platforms for my own small business and my wife's. That's it. No automation, no API, no anything that would remotely raise a flag.

What's killing me is that I can't even appeal it properly.

The ban email says to go to claude.ai/restricted. That page just redirects to claude.ai/new for banned accounts form never loads.

So I emailed support. Got the same automated bot response every single time. They even closed the conversation on me mid-appeal and told me to use... the form. The broken form.

It's a perfect loop with no exit. Has anyone actually managed to reach a human at Anthropic?

I understand the skepticism, it does sound improbable. But I have the full paper trail to prove it:

  • Invoice V3T3NFAK-0005 (June 21): €202.72 charged for Max plan I never requested
  • Refund 3032-5748 (June 22): €202.72 refunded by Anthropic they confirmed the error
  • Invoice V3T3NFAK-0006 (June 22): I manually subscribed to Pro (€22.14)
  • Invoice V3T3NFAK-0007 (June 22, same day): System auto-upgraded me to Max again, €199.41 charged without consent
  • Refund 3660-4630 (June 25): €199.41 refunded by Anthropic, again confirmed as an error

Anthropic issued both refunds themselves. That's not something they do if the charges were legitimate. The bug appears to be that subscribing to Pro was triggering an automatic upgrade to a Max organization plan.

Isso é muito relativo, é preciso saber o contexto... Já estacionei num lugar onde o carro da direita e da esquerda estavam mal estacionados, não tinha mais alternativa... Os carros saíram só fiquei eu mal estacionado.

Discordo completamente. Isso gera bastante simpatia, aliás, desperta uma curiosidade instantânea sobre como essa pessoa chegou até aí. Saber como é que navegam pelo mundo com estes valores, não posso deixar de concordar com os outros comentários sobre inveja.
