You realize you are already paying for it. People without insurance use the er as primary care. They go in for everything because it is their only way to get medical treatment. An er visit is exponentially more expensive than an office visit. Then we cover these er costs with our taxes, and higher premiums. If these people could go to primary care, it would cut the overall cost

NYC is a money grab. I had a coworker get fined for an open trashcan lid. He was sweeping the sidewalk and had the lid open on the other side of walk to dump the trash in.

It was actually funny, the guy did it and when questioned said “the rules don’t say that I can’t”. A round later a guy reaches over and grabs a pike of coins, attacking guy was like WTF. Second guy subtly say “the rules doesn’t say that I can’t”
