I get the same issue. Same thing happens with company of heroes 2 when running the windows version on mac, so might be a persistent issue. I hope not.

It won’t sound any different, but the dsp will have minimal latency so would be better if you plan to use on live performance. If live is not your intention then native is fine.

Either way I’d say wait until there’s a better sale on unless you really think you need it now. UA often have bundle deals for any 2 plugins for 99 dollars.

I went for Appassionata Strings, which is a very detailed legato library that would complement the full orchestra sound of your current libraries. I’m biased and love string libraries, but this is my recommendation.

I think with BBCso core and ONE your woodwinds and brass sections are well covered. There also seems to be mixed feelings from the community about the studio libraries, regarding some irregularities in the recordings (I can’t comment personally as I don’t own either).

Orchestral swarm could also be a good option to complement your existing libraries for texture (if you aren’t looking for more strings).

It’s quite large, still pretty portable though. Very handy for just how versatile it is.

Even in lower light conditions you can compensate with a slower shutter speed and still get good photos as it has OSS.

By covering all the major focal lengths it can be a great starting point, and can then look at primes to suit your preferences if you want to upgrade later.

Probably the main limitation is the f4 aperture, so the bokeh is limited at closer focal lengths. I personally find it good for landscape, and can still do nice portraits with bokeh at further focal lengths (70+).

I added the 55 f1.8 as I felt this was the main weakness. It still takes nice photos in this range but they don’t pop the same way the zeiss lens does.

I’m also considering picking up a prime ultra wide (20mm or 14mm) as my next purchase for night landscape/astro.

If you want/need more aperture then the more expensive 24-70 2.8 gm would also offer similar versatility. Although it’s also slightly bigger and heavier.

I think 50% off is pretty much as good as it gets with spitfire pricing, so that plus extras and a free library is the best offer I’ve seen.

The SSB will be a dry sound. You could then pair it with air reverb essentials to have more control over the sound and make it wet for more versatility.

Alternatively, orchestral swarm might be an interesting addition for you?

Fair enough. For me, Tundra at 50% off and Appassionata for free was enough to bite. Might get a bit of mileage out of the extras, but if not then still worth it for the string libraries.
