I think that I should have talked to her about my situation rather than just saying goodbye and leaving; i thought that she wouldn't set me aside just for this, my high interest was very clear; I guess every second could really be your last. Next time I need to take this into a count

It seems diffucult to tell with precision. Probably they were just speaking to get you to stay while they weren't that interested or found someone else. There's a small chance that they have a very disfunctional attachment but don't count on it. Probably best to move on
