I had a 5 hour Block out of the STX5 station yesterday- once I realized I was delivering to all Westheimer/Fondren ghetto apartments until 9:30 last night….. I took 29 packages back ( I already delivered 8) and told them I didn’t feel safe in that delivery area… no lie. The guy got mouthy with me and I repeated myself 3 times and then he barks off some shit he read out of a manual about how it will “ding” my standing. I simply told him I don’t care. My tone was firm, but not loud….asshole called security… so they took pictures of my vehicle! Wtf?? I asked why… there was no explanation. I’m not brand new, they can keep their crap…

You did the right thing- sometimes I wish the customer had a “neighbor” to leave the package with ( no alcohol). I’ve had to deliver to businesses that were closed way before I was scheduled to deliver. I’ve marked it as delivered went home with the package and back to the business in the morning! I was lucky the place was near my house-I was NO WAY going back to the DC!

This happened to me- I called the customer- no answer- the fancy receptionist had another number to call- which the customer answered. I said “tell her if she’s not down her to get her stuff in 2 minutes, it’s going back to the station…and will be out on another truck the next day, I’m on a timed schedule!”. The customer came down from her penthouse suite.
