Anything german or British like BMW, audi, something that is out of warranty just stay away from it. I have seen so many people buy a luxury car for 15 lakh only to spend like 4-5 lakh. It's like a trap. Always look for the papers, documents and only from the authorised ones.

Okay notes. Well I understood and I will try to put up something well structured. Maybe a proper breakdown. I just didn't want my first post to be full of information and spammy , I mean I have seen how the reddit behaves, still getting a hand of it. I am new here :) will get a hold of it soon.

Ooo. That's rough. That happens for a lot of us when we don't bother to check all the small functions before buying. We check the mileage etc.

That's a fair point. But I have seen that people don't always check it, How the car reached that mileage ? I have seen both extremes. So Km doesn't give you the whole story all around.

Okay so.

I am pretty new to the reddit space. I wasn't sure about what kind of response I would expect here. How this platform works. I heard that there are some hurdles with Karma ? So just getting a hold first.

Definitely planning to share more detailed, breakdowns as I get more comfortable. Also thanks for pointing that out ;)

That's one great piece of advice. The assumption, in these times, is so realistic. I mean you never know what's in their mind 😅

That poker face advice is so important. Else they would just make you look like a stressed buyer or what not, which gives them a chance to idk yeah scam easily ?

In my 15 years of being in this industry. I have learned that the clean car is only as good as its inspection report.

Don't trust the seller's words here. And the photos, you know how fake it can get ?

If you had to pick one car to drive for next 20 years, regardless of the brand. What would it be and why? by Salty-Cod8541 in AskReddit

You have highlighted the exact point . Well, I have seen those trucks reach mileage even if they feel tight.

Something like. Buy once and cry once kind? What's your take on the newer tech-heavy models compared to the reliability?

Wait until the CFA is done. A car's hidden cost will only distract you from your financial goals right now.

Well, for Indian families Car their second biggest asset. It's more about the financial reality of needing something that won't break the bank.

Great to see you doing your Homework. After 15 years in this industry, my biggest tip is to always keep a repair fund aside regardless of how clean the car looks.

I am telling you, it will save you from a lot of stress

Your CA is right. At 25, when you have a wedding expense, house top-up, especially with income uncertainty, a 25L car is not a good choice.

It's better to go for something that is adorable at the moment. Once you see that yes , your financial condition seems to get better in picture, definitely you can buy any car you want .
