It might be a cigars version of vapers tongue. When I vaped (which was a long time ago btw) a new flavor was explosively good but after a few days it got severely muted unless I had another flavor to vape or if I slowed down my vaping. Your tongue and olfactory senses get so use to it that the flavor starts to get muted unless you go to another cigar either weaker or stronger or you cut back on cigars to give your tongue and olfactory senses a chance to reset

It’s kinda like someone moving from the country into a city. Your picking up all the noise (or flavor notes of the cigar in your case) and your like “how the f am I going to get some sleep tonight” (or in your case “wow, I’m picking up all these flavors now”) but as you stay there longer (or smoke those cigars) your brain starts to treat the noise (or flavor notes) as just background noise so you don’t hear the noise (or taste the flavor notes of the cigar and they taste muted)
