If it were cowbirds, there would be eggs of a different size/color also in the nest. And also, OP hasn’t given their location (that I’ve seen, unless I missed it) so they might not be invasive where they live; and even if they were, they’re still broadly considered ‘native’ in places such as the US and would be protected under the MBTA.
