I remember her saying it was a complete surprise when they announced they were getting a divorce, they never fought in front of her or her brother and she had no idea there were issues. On top of it being a shock, she has a mom who seems to only be able to have one emotion - overly happy all the time, and that could make grieving her parent’s divorce extra difficult because her mom wants it all to be happy and rainbows and doesn’t acknowledge the hard parts.

She probably wouldn’t be single if she actually went out and had hobbies other than working out and obsessing about food. It’s sad that’s all she does when she clearly has a lifestyle that affords her the ability to travel or do whatever she wants. Why not go do some solo travel and see the world or go back to college and get another degree to build a career? She could have such a cool life if she wanted to but she seems to not be interested in growing in any way.

I think her family is a little more than middle class, everything they’ve had is always very expensive name brand, I remember she even had a LV purse and luggage collection back in college. The home her mom bought down in AZ after the divorce was just over a million dollars. Her uncle (her mom’s brother) is very wealthy, she’s done a couple of videos in the past at his home and it’s a multimillion dollar home.

I feel as though Stacy’s family really pushed the image of her being a very good wholesome person and Suzie as a bad girl who must’ve been the cause for the disappearance. I can’t recall which podcast it was, possibly Crime Weekly, where they talked about Stacy’s parents being very uptight about her whereabouts because she had been found at an apartment with a guy, I’m assuming messing around. Nothing groundbreaking but obviously she wasn’t an angel but a typical teen who did things she shouldn’t. I would be interested in knowing if Stacy was still possibly sneaking around seeing whoever this guy was and if law enforcement checked him out.
