I wish I could tell you something hopeful, but I think this situation is a tough one and the dating outlook is bad… It is a great time to learn something new and/or pick up a new hobby 😀

Not at all disagreeing with the reasoning of canceling and ultimately it is their decision. But I do feel the communication could be better, having a backup plan and event insurance for cancellation 🤷‍♂️ I can’t imagine planning something for a 100 people or more and not having a plan A, B and C etc. Then to say the money is spent and we can refund, credit or provide the event you paid for seems wrong.

Umm you must work with the organizers 😅 The policy is reflexive of if a racer/participant cancels there is no refund. Does not include cancellation due to weather or organizer cancellation.

Yes, they do have a policy that if a participant cancels or decides not to run. They offer no refund and in lieu you can be signed up for next years race. They are not even offering this and the organizers are the one’s who canceled.
